Occupy NOIZ STREET 2012
Phew! It's been a hot minute since the last update, but the folks at Four4ths have been hard at work occupying the airwaves with several new weapons of dance floor destruction, with every style of DJ in mind. Check out the recent release break down below, and remember you can find all of these tracks at any of your favorite online digital music retailers (Beatport, Juno, iTunes, etc).
Thanks so much for always supporting us -- 2012 holds an even bigger and better outlook for the Four4ths crew, including those long-awaited Four4ths Records releases we've been carefully fine-tuning for the big show….but first, check out some of what's kept us hiding in the beat science labs the last few months:

Avlish - City of Echoes
(Michael Mcnabb and DJ Kable Remixes)
Sweet Science Records
The most recent of installments, are Michael Mcnabb and DJ Kable's remixes of Avlish "City of Echoes" trance track. Kable preserves Avlish's original melodies and sticks within the original trance genre, but adds some tense building before finally dropping into signature driving electro bass lines and fills. Michael Mcnabb turns 180º and pumps out a subby breakbeat remix that takes new direction in classic electro landscapes. Check the writeup on NoisePORN for insight into the whole release, including the Original Mix and a dubstep cut from Loncka.

Bass Wrecka
Strait Jack It EP
Sweet Science Records
Track 1 "Back in the Klub!" is a collaboration from Bass Wrecka and DJ Kable which busts down the breakbeat gates and takes you through old vs. nu skool locked in a deadly battle for supremacy. We hope you brought your breakin' shoes, because a circle is about to expand on the dance floor.
Track 2 "High Volume" is a (caution: overused adjective ahead) massive breakbeat floor shaker. The kicks go BOOM, and we mean serious sub-atomic bass here, folks. This should definitely "be played at High Volume".
Finally, Track 3 "Str8jacket" is a chirpy wobbly noise box featuring sections of triplet notes making for a bouncy electro-house thrill ride to close out the EP.

Michael Mcnabb
Reach EP
Sweet Science Records
Taking the scenic route into the progressive house realm, Mcnabb shines again with an EP that shows his diversity and taste for the finer reaches of house music. The title track "Reach" is an airy, space-driven tune that takes you a deep and contemplative journey. While "Chasing Sunset" has a heavenly feel reminiscent of early Moby and hints of early Orbital with its far-reaching delay effects and side-chained pads. When it's all put together, you can almost hear the ocean and gently crashing waves.

Avlish - Liquid Fabrix
(Michael Mcnabb Remix)
Sweet Science Records
Saw saw, and more saw! -- Like we're cutting down redwoods! This electro-houser features nice chunky bass tones and big room-ready builds to build tension in a set. Any DJ will recognize the importance and usefulness of a meaningful tool like this inserted at just the right time!
Avlish - Violet Gardens
(Michael Mcnabb Remix)
Sweet Science Records
Michael Mcnabb takes what was once an epic trancer, throws it in a cage, and abuses the hell out of it…And well, you can only imagine what kind of monster appears once unleashed: This electro-house transformation has an angry mind of its own…tribal house beats, deep subs, and high pitched saw waves wreckin' shop!

Release Day! Michael Mcnabb "Dirty Nights" EP
Four4ths veteran Michael Mcnabb opens the electronic music floodgates with a brilliant 5-song EP proving once again that he's pulling from a bottomless bag of dance-able magic. The aptly titled "Dirty Nights" EP begins with a dark and sinister track entitled "Ambiance", which features a grimy distorted bass groove with side-chained pads that combined throw you right into the deep dark alleys of EDM that only the brave and faithful shall pass through.
Waisting no time, #2 is the title track "Dirty Nights"....foreboding builds and menacing bass will circuit-break the need for lights yet again, as Mcnabb takes you on a journey through the dark cooridors of the mind...close your eyes and let go on this one. When you're ready for the funky thirds-based distorted bass grooves rocking all over a straight-up kick/snare (can't go wrong with that formula, right?), track #3 "Night Breed" is where less becomes SO much more. Mcnabb truly understands the value of selecting sounds wisely and concentrating on the tracks overall groove. With a pad interlude reminiscent of Moby's "Go", you can't resist wanting to find a spot for this track in your set.
Mcnabb keeps the pulse rapid with a solid electro-houser entitled "The Future". But yet, he can't just stop there: Track #5 "Three AM" is a HUGE progressive-infused electro-house masterpiece just itching for big room discovery. It's almost difficult to define it in one word other than "big", because the mix on this one completely fills the room, proving Mcnabb's well-versed ears are giving him a quality edge in spatial positioning of individual sounds in the overall mix. But arguably ever more important than production skills, this is that track that the listener/dancer/partier gets completely immersed in, losing all sense of time.
Wait, there's more? Yes. As if (5) solid tracks weren't more than enough to satisfy your fresh tune fix on this EP, M-Toxin's alpha dog Seth Vogt adds a huge breaks remix interpretation of the title track "Dirty Nights". Vogt once again demonstrates that he has roots firmly planted in the legendary Orlando electronic music scene, and specifically has an ear for many of the sounds and song structures pioneered there in the early 90s. However, this interpretation sounds FAR from dated -- We've grown to expect a fresh clean sound from Seth every time he works his magic, and he doesn't disappoint. The key in this remix is the storytelling aspect -- A lot of EDM listeners want to be taken on a journey....and Seth expertly pilots this spacecraft into a wormhole born of the breakbeat heavens. Translated: this should not be missing from your essential breaks collection.

Release Day! DJ Kable "Dancefloor Disclosure" EP
Returning from his first remix appearance on the London UK label Bone Idle Records, DJ Kable follows up with a gritty triad of fresh all-original electro-house tracks to round out his first official release. The title track, Dancefloor Disclosure, features a dirty funk-filled bass line with portamento swing and subtle vocoder-laden lines with a message that seems to speak to those that dance alone in a crowd full of people. Organized Grind, as the name implies, builds a deck of vintage-sounding organ chords and then drops into a series of grimy bass cuts that is meant to send the shoes of many into a frenzy. Finally, rounding out the EP with plenty of wobbly bits, a breakbeat interlude, and cinematic arpeggios, Chemistry Set takes you into the darker side of Kable's cerebral meanderings. Here's what the people are saying:"The whole EP is bangin. DJ Kable knows how to make some quality electro house." - Andru Pozzatron
"Good Electro House must be like this" - Lime The DJ
"DJ Kable is back on Bone Idle with his very own EP release. Three awesome electro house tracks, each completely unique and dancefloor ready." - Bone Idle Records

Four4ths Records
Four4ths can be traced back to the year 2000, and was originally forged as a promotional group of DJs and live performers to assemble electronic dance music events utilizing a network that spans the United States, from Florida to California, and now branching out to other parts of the globe. During this time various members of the crew have been writing, performing, and producing all forms of electronic music, influenced heavily by the nightlife and dance club hits and misses. Fast-forward one decade--As soon as artists such as Michael Mcnabb and DJ Kable started garnering the attention of labels from the U.S. and the U.K. and were hired for original release production and remix duties, it became clear that it was now time to take the Four4ths brand to the next level. After a decade of throwing successful events and showcasing talent within a wide range of genres, 2011 saw Four4ths Records become an inexorable reality, with a set focus on releasing quality original sounding music with no boundaries in style, other than it being accessible music targeted for the ears and feet of dance floors worldwide. There is so much to report, as this is the latest evolutionary stage in the unfolding story of that which is Four4ths. While it was probably an obvious inevitability to many of you, this was really 10 years in the making....and we weren't going to pull the trigger until we were sure we had the target lined up just right. Taking notes from the dance floor and translating that into the studio = we've got some great releases lining up already.Looking into the future: We are also reaching out to all of our EDM producer friends out there: if you would like consideration or know someone that does, send links (please, no attachments) to info(at)four4ths.com. We will also be considering talent for remix duties. True to form, all EDM genres will be considered for this label...no cliques, no boundaries, that's always how we've rolled with 4/4. It's gotta' be quality though. ;-)
Ready. Set. Here we go!!!

Release Day! Kable and Mcnabb Remixes
Bone Idle Records (London, UK) today released a track entitled "Black Mango" by Australian fidget-house artist Riggers. The release comes with a total of (4) pumping remixes coming from different corners of the globe -- France, Russia, and the United States. Included, are mixes from Four 4ths' very own Michael Mcnabb and DJ Kable:
"
US based DJ and producer Michael McNabb submitted a mind blowing electro mashup of Black Mango, a self admitted perfectionist, McNabb tweaked this mix to the max. Distorted, detuned sawtooth leads fly over the catchy vocal of ‘Are You Ready?’ and to top it off it crashes around a set of beats Phil Collins would be jealous of. Riggers went mental over this remix in the best possible way, enough to seal second place on the EP."
-- Bone Idle Records
"US based DJ Kable takes Black Mango on a tense hardcore night out. We liken this remix to how our shoes end up after a few hours in a club… clean at the start, filthy at the end. Taking just the vocals from the original this remix has given Black Mango a tight work over. With reverb, delay laden breaks and a build that drops into an electro fuzzed bassline, mean this one is not one to wear your best Adidas too!"
